In many rural African communities, women and children walk miles every day in search of water that is often unsafe. Water pans are shared between wildlife, livestock, and people, and when drought comes, they dry up. Children miss school as the journey for water takes them further from home and learning.
Aitopiu Africa was founded to bring restoration and hope by shortening the distance to water and making sure that water is safe to drink. We drill boreholes, harvest rainwater, and create food forests so that communities can access clean water, nutritious food, and learning spaces close to home.
